Who Am I?

I\’m Gordon Morse, a Language Acquisition Specialist and English coach from the Boston area of the United States. I started teaching English to speakers of other languages in 2010, and since then I have worked with learners of all levels and ages, both locally and internationally. I earned my TESOL Certification from the International Language Institute of Massachusetts in Northampton, MA in 2011, and my Master\’s Degree in TESOL from the Marlboro College Graduate School in 2016. 

After spending several years living and working in Japan, I decided to open my language coaching business to focus on Japanese learners of English. My specialty is coaching learners who are already intermediate level or above in English skills and want to continue improving. From my experiences of teaching English in Japan I developed the Natural English Speaking Course, or NESCo. NESCo is a uniquely high-level language curriculum is personalized to each student.

Aside from language coaching and research, I also write fantasy novels and design paper-based games. I enjoy being outside in nature and travelling to new places, especially in Japan. I love meeting new people and hearing about their experiences. I learn a lot of new things from each client!
